Step 1: Make moong dal paste
First of all, soak the moong dal in water for 3 to 4 hours. Now drain the water from the lentils and put it in the mixer. Now add a small piece of ginger and 3-4 cloves of garlic and grind it to make a coarse paste. Now take this paste out in a separate plate and keep it aside.
Step 2: Add spices
Now add finely chopped onion, chopped coriander, chopped green chillies to this paste. Now add 1 teaspoon turmeric, 1 teaspoon chilli powder, half teaspoon garam masala, half teaspoon chaat masala, add salt as per taste and mix well with half a teaspoon.
